Kristen fell asleep on the car ride home from the beach last Sunday. Usually I have to kind of beg her to eat on Division Avenue in Grand Rapids — but this time, since she was sawing logs, all I had to do was follow the signs for exit 81 on US 131.
Mariscos Veracruzanos was closed so we went to a pupusería called El Salvador. They had Kolashanpan, the unofficial national soft drink of El Salvador. It smelled like bubble gum. Me and Kristen really liked it and *almost* ordered a second round.
The most delicious pupusa was the loroco flower one. The loroco flower is a little bud that grows on a vine. It looks a little bit like the top of an asparagus spear and, paired with the gooey cheese of the pupusa, it was delectable.
